Starting his career as a singer for Radio Nepal with hits such as āJaage Saara Raatā, he went in order to become a superstar of the Nepali film industry acting in more than a hundred films, including some foreign films.[citation needed] The 1983 film Juni was 1st film, although it has not been commercial success.
Samjhana was his first hit, in 1984, and it helped to establish him as a successful actor in Nepali cinema. His other successful movies are Nepali Babu, Karodpati , Kusume Rumal, Saino, Dakshina, Kanyadan, and Chino. In 2016, he directed the film Dreams, with his son Anmol K.C. each morning lead role.
