KATHMANDU: A statute amendment proposal was tabled at the closed-door session of the unity general convention of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) underway in the Capital today.
Party Vice-Chairman and Statute Amendment Committee Coordinator Buddhiman Tamang tabled the proposal at the convention taking place at Bhrikutimandap.
Deliberations on the proposal are ongoing.
A 161-member Central Committee including a Chairperson has been proposed in the amendment.
Other 24 office bearers would be nominated by the Chair from among the central members.
The future ideology and strategy of this party are also being discussed.
The statue amendment proposal will be endorsed today following changes based with the recommendations received from the delegates, according for the party Spokesperson Rajaram Shrestha.
