Youth klled, 12 others injured in clash

Rajbiraj, March 6: A youth was klled and 12 others were injured within a clash that took place between cadres of Madhesi Morcha and police here on Monday.identified as Ranjan Mehata of Malekh in Saptari local. The incident took place when police opened fire after cadres of Madhesi Morcha experimented with disrupt the mass gathering organised your CPN (UML) at Gajendra Narayan Singh Industrial Corridor at Rajbiraj under the Mechi-Mahakali Campaign. A local leader of Madhesi Morcha, Gajendra Mandal, said Mehata was killed after police opened fire to bring the crowd under control, as Morcha cadres started pelting stones at the police. The Morcha cadres clashed with police as UML Chair KP Oli was addressing those associated with the mass summit. Earlier, six Morcha cadres were injured in the clash that had happened before Chairman Oli had reached the venue. The injured are undergoing treatment at Sagarmatha Hospital, Rajbiraj. The condition of two is reported to be critical.
