Nepal Students Union Kathmandu Chapter has padlocked the offices of the campus chiefs in the Kathmandu Valley, protesting against the Tribhuvan University decision on holding election by setting age limit for candidates in the elections of the free students unions.
A team led by Chapter Chair Manoj Baidya reached various campus as Pashupati, Saraswati, Public Youth, Tri Chandra, Patan, Shankar Dev, Min Bhawan yet others to padlocked the offices of the campus chiefs.
Chairman Baidya questioned, “Can’t the people above 28 years be student?”
He vented ire versus the university why it was ignoring the aspiration big number of scholars. “We’ll emerge more rebellions if this type of decision was not removed,” he warned.
It may be noted that the students above 28 years is barred from filing candidacy for your students’ union election.
