The deceased has been recognized as Birendra Kumar Mahato, 38, of Maleth-2 in Saptari district. Mahato was shot on his head and was in the ICU ward of the health care facility.Police said another person is in critical condition at the hospital’s ICU ward.
Three persons passed away on Monday after police opened fire towards protestors who tried to disrupt CPN-UML’s programme associated with district. Several were injured in the firing.Meanwhile, RSS reported the general life in Saptari district has been affected for second consecutive day due for the indefinite strike called by the Morcha.
Vehicles have remained off the road and educational institutes also remained nearby. Morcha cadres have gathered in major areas as Bhardaha, Kanchanpur, Rupani and Kalyanpur and enforced the strike.
