Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said a new government would be formed after holding local elections.
Addressing a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union in Chitwan on Friday, Deuba said that the present government would not topple in advance of the elections, which he supposed is the held within March.Saying that the Constitution amendment bill would be endorsed only after passing election-related bills, Deuba argued that the area polls dates were also not announced for aren't reason.
The NC President asserted that all elections at local, provincial and federal levels were compulsory for implementation of the Constitution.
Otherwise, it would push the democratic system into a crisis, he warned.Meanwhile, Deuba reiterated how the Constitution amendment proposal was forwarded considering Madhesi people’s sentiments.Deuba also mentioned that the recent expansion of the Cabinet was as per a previous agreement between his party and CPN Maoist Center.
